28 Jul 70’s Inspired Fashion from H&M’s Conscious line
I don’t know what it is about the disco era that is striking a cord with me this year, but it seems to be the pulse of fashion at this current moment. From pretty paisley, to wide legged bell bottoms, the 70’s are back and here to stay through the Fall and Winter season!
I am excited to share some of my favorite pieces from H&M’s wonderful Conscious clothing line. This is the mega brands answer to providing affordable and chic Eco friendly apparel and I absolutely love the styles they are delivering! Look for the green tag labeled conscious for eco friendly styles. With this collection, H&M promises to “bring you more fashion choices that are good for people, the planet, and your wallet.” This is a promise I hope they keep! The Conscious line is built upon 7 commitments, two of which are promises to be ethical and use natural resources responsibly. Expect to find garments made from sustainably sourced cotton, recycled wool, organic linen and silk just to name a few. Ok! On to the fashion!
Look at the stunning print on these pants! I paired these funky wide legged pants with an over the top (go big or go home) faux fur vest (thrift find $27), this look is for the bold and adventurous. Do not, I repeat , DO NOT be afraid of loud prints and plush furs (faux of course) this season. Keep accessories simple to keep from looking like you are in costume. I’ve curated some outfits below to make pairing these powerful duos a breeze! You cannot go wrong with these styling’s ladies!
Not only are these pants superfly, they are great for long legs, or if you want to give the illusion of longer legs. Pair them with your favorite chunky platform or delicate heel to complete the look!
Fresh out of the 70’s baby! Though I was born well into the 80’s I have a fine appreciation for fabulous prints and styles that gained popularity during this revolutionary decade.
These high waist shorts are great for any wardrobe and will transfer well from summer to fall. The sweater vest is DKNY, a thrift find. The stacked heels are by Groove. I have curated a list of my looks below!
It’s perfect for any occasion and accessories can be kept to a minimum because of the bold print! This by far is one of my favorite pieces from the H&M conscious collection!
