Bag Brigade | Handbag Styles I’m Obsessing Over

It’s no secret that I love a good funky handbag. I bought the one pictured above from a local thrift store and I damned near wore the thing to shreds. It’s an unconventional handbag because it’s actually a sewing bag. I added on the patches to jazz it up a bit. I got so many compliments on this look. That brings me to today’s topic, three handbag styles I am currently obsessing over.  True to my less is more sensibility, I’m currently flaunting my Olivia bag from Oliver Bilou and I don’t have plans to upgrade any time too soon. But if I were going to, I’d definitely buy one of these chic styles.

Cult Gaia’s Ark Bag

By now you should all be familiar with Cult Gaia’s infamous ‘Ark’ bag. It’s made of bamboo and is too stunning not to notice.  I discovered the brand last year before they became so popular. And now, everyone and their momma has one (except me). It’s all good though, I can still admire the bag from my instagram feed.

Wicker and Straw Bags

I love the natural elements of a good wicker or straw bag. It screams French simplicity and automatically makes me want to go on a picnic. I love all the unique shapes that this style of bag comes in and even more how accessible they are. I highly recommend you visit your local thrift store for this style or check out my picks below!

Net Bags

I first discovered this look on fashionhedge.com.  Until then, I was unfamiliar with the look. But I instantly fell in love with it. I don’t see it as a purse as much as a great shopping bag alternative. It’s perfect for carrying produce from a trip to the farmer’s market or as a beach tote. I love the fun colors that MIKANU has in their collection.
