The Best Moisturizers for 4C Hair

black girl with afro surrounded by natural hair care products

Does winter weather have you down? Are your ends dry, and that once soft bushel of hair on your hair turning dry and scratchy? Let’s face it, rocking your natural hair isn’t for the faint of heart. It takes commitment, patience, and tons of hair care products. I’ve been natural for over 5 years and I’ve narrowed down the products that have always made my hair happy over the course of this journey. If you have a natural friend who’s hair could use a little love this winter, give her a gift basket of these items for Christmas. She’ll love you for it.

The Products

Motions Versatile Foam Styling Lotion |The Motions styling foam doesn’t flake and is great for creating the perfect twist out or Bantu knots. You can use this product on your hair when it’s wet or dry and a little goes a long way.

ORS Moisturizing Hair Lotion and Taliah Waajid African Healing Oyl | These two products combined are gold. They’ll give your curls and your scalp the love they deserve. Taliah Waajid’s Healing Oyl is my personal favorite. The applicator tip makes it perfect for moisturizing your scalp when you have braids or a weave.

ORS Olive Oil Deep Penetrating Conditioner Replenishing Pack | A wonderful deep conditioner to give your locks a deep condition. Increase the penetration by adding heat from a hooded dryer or using a hood attachment with your blow dryer for 10 -15 minutes.

Eco Styler Professional Styling Gel | Ecostyler gel is the best non-flaking gel. The tub lasts a long time too.

Murray’s Beeswax | Just a dab of this seals the ends on my knot outs and twist outs. This will reduce frizz and lengthen the life of your curls.
